Our Pack

Ecko: The oldest at 9 years 6 months old. Ecko is the first shepherd that we got together. She is also the one that got Mark back in to Schutzhund dog sport, after a 25 year hiatus and introduced Tonya to the sport. While she’s not the strongest at bite work, she’s got an amazing nose and she has been very easy to train in obedience. Making her a great candidate for service dog work. She has become spoiled in her old age as she is retired from dog sport and spends her days lounging and getting cuddles whenever she wants them. She has 4 Schutzhund obedience titles.

Diesel: 7 years 8 months old. Mark’s pride and joy! When Ecko turned around 2 years old, Mark decided he really wanted a male, high drive dog to advance in Schutzhund. It took looking at several litters before determining that Diesel would be the perfect puppy. While Diesel may be our “scariest” looking dog, he is the most cuddly of the pack. He loves leaning on mom (Tonya) and getting scratches and pets. Mark and Diesel are a great working team. We transitioned from Schutzhund work to WDA (Working Dog of America) in 2017. The difference is just in the focus of training routines. Diesel has the following titles: BH, IPO I and IPO II in Schutzhund and FO and P1 in WDA.

Rush: 7 years 7 months old. She is the newest to our pack. We have known Rush her whole life and her previous owners had a situation in which they could no longer keep her. She happens to be our boy Berlin’s, momma so she has been a great addition. She has a very sweet and gentle temperament and really wants to please. We have been taking her out to training and socializing opportunities and time will tell if she is WDA titleable (I just made that word up. :)). She joins Ecko as second queen of the house.

Berlin: 6 years 11 months old. Berlin is Tonya’s dog and was her first opportunity to completely train a dog in dog sport from the very beginning. Tonya and Berlin are very bonded and make a great dog and handler team. Like Diesel, Berlin loves to be petted and hugged. They were honored to win the “Judge’s Choice” award at the last WDA trial in which they competed in 2019. We look forward to more trial success and family enjoyment with this handsome boy. Berlin has the following titles: BH in Schutzhund and FO and P1 in WDA.
